Has anyone given scrapbook pages for a present?
Yes. Many scrapbookers give scrapbook pages as a present or gift. Scrapbooks make great gifts and pages made as a continuation make good future gifts as well. Creation of a full, new, and complete scrapbook is a major effort and expense. An expandable scrapbook that can have pages added as special gift giving events occur is a great way to go! And, much more desirable than no scrapbook at all.
First to consider, I guess, would be the target. Well, yes, the person the gift is for, but especially the scrapbook for which the page is intended. Is this the start of a new scrapbook, or an addition to an existing one?
Obviously, if there is an existing scrapbook, then that will set the theme and purpose of the page. In this case, you will probably just want to carry on along the same lines. To be really safe that the present goes over well, include some other item with the gift. Chocolates, flowers, maybe even tickets to a movie, concert, or vacation trip can create a synergy of gift giving impact!
Does the scrapbook your page is targeted for have an expandable spine? Strap hinge and post bound should be okay. Three ring albums can have pages added, but have limits. Most spiral bound, book bound, and so forth cannot have pages added to it. If you do not know, then maybe playing it safe by making the scrapbook page dual purpose such as usable as a poster or gift card might be a good idea.
Scrapbooks make such wonderful gifts, and there is so much more thought in them than any purchased gift. And, scrapbook pages can be a quicker, less expensive way to do it!
Yes, people have given scrapbook pages as presents. And, for many occasions. However, unless you know that the page will fit into an existing scrapbook, perhaps, some dual purpose design would be best, such as making it so it could be used as a poster on the wall. Or, maybe more like a gift card!
